Cargo Treatment Services
The two most common forms of treatment are;
Reconditioning by distillation: Distillation is usually only recommended for large cargo quantities because it comes at a high financial price as 0.5 to 1.0% of the product can be lost in the process.
Reprocessing by filtering: If the contaminant consists of solid particles or is a matter of colour and/or odour then filtering may be the appropriate tool. Petrus have access to mobile filtering units meaning the reprocessing may take place on shore or on board a vessel. Losses for this process are in the region of 0.50%.
