To join the Petrus team as a Freelance Cargo Superintendent you must have extensive knowledge in the custody transfer process of Petroleum products. All candidates must be aware of the pitfalls of cargo inspection and have a proven track record of loss control. Petrus has a commercial bias so all Superintendents must understand where financial losses occur and have the ability to work pro-actively in preventing them. Superintendents must have management experience in stressful situations, with an ability to perform tasks in a calm authoritative way.

Minimum requirements for candidates:

A Minimum of 5 years industry experience

Proven track record in Loss control
      
All superintendents must have experience as either a:
Loss Control Superintendent
Senior Inspection company employee
Master Mariner or Vessel Officer
Chemist

All applicants should supply 2 current references from people in the oil industry.
